Awareness is required for educating people about social issues through social mobilizers for increasing knowledge. Being a social mobilizer, people face different challenges than just being easy work. Illiteracy of the community people, the ego of the different members and the need for financial support in the community are the challenges that can be countered by the social mobilizers while working together with the people.
Illiteracy is one of the chief challenges we face while working with community members in the awareness sessions. Firstly, conveying the message to them is tough when the medium of instruction is different from what they speak was our problem. Social mobilizers might not be very well equipped in the Nepali language and the community people could have a hard time understanding. Uneducated people can be the factor for the difficulty for social mobilizers like us, making it a hard time for us.
‘Obstruction in our work simply by the people either by not cooperating or not showing enthusiasm must be due to their ego is another issue as attitude is everything. People in society can be difficult to handle either due to their educational status or their attitude. Village leaders and educated people normally do not attend the awareness session when the social mobilizer is not mature enough. So, attitude can play a negative role in the community making less impact.
Attending such a session, people try to get benefited from economic support mainly than just speaking to them. People often expect monetary support to attend such sessions and are not inspired to participate in them due to their feeling of the importance of time as money. When we notified the people about the distribution of materials such as tomato seeds, cauliflower, chillies, weighing machines, and polybags for seeds, many people showed up on the last day.
To sum up, illiteracy, ego and the intense need for finance are the components of main challenges while in the community. Moreover, I feel they can be part of the reason why social mobilizers got a job in the community; if not they would not be hired by the company.

ज्ञान बढाउनको लागि सामाजिक परिचालनकर्ताहरूको माध्यमबाट मानिसहरूलाई सामाजिक मुद्दाहरूको बारेमा शिक्षित गर्न जागरूकता आवश्यक छ। एक सामाजिक परिचालक भएर, मान्छेहरू सजिलो कामको भन्दा फरक चुनौतीहरूको सामना गर्दछन्। सामुदायिक जनताको अशिक्षा, बिभिन्न सदस्यहरूको अहंकार र समुदायमा आर्थिक सहयोगको आवश्यकता भनेको ती चुनौतीहरू हुन् जसलाई सामाजिक परिचालनकर्ताहरूले जनतासँग मिलेर काम गर्ने क्रममा सामना गर्न सकिन्छ।
जागरूकता सत्रहरूमा समुदायका सदस्यहरूसँग काम गर्दा निरक्षरता हामीले सामना गर्ने प्रमुख चुनौतीहरू मध्ये एक हो। सर्वप्रथम, उनीहरूलाई सन्देश पठाउन गाह्रो हुन्छ जब निर्देशनको माध्यम उनीहरू बोल्ने कुरामा हाम्रो समस्या थियो भन्दा फरक हुन्छ। सामाजिक परिचालकहरू नेपाली भाषामा राम्ररी सुसज्जित हुन नसक्ने हुन सक्छ र समुदायका मानिसहरूसँग बुझ्न कठिन हुन सक्छ। अशिक्षित व्यक्तिहरू हामी जस्ता सामाजिक परिचालकहरूको लागि कठिनाईको कारक हुन सक्छन्, जुन हाम्रो लागि कठिन समय बनायो।
हाम्रो काममा बाधा अवरोध हो कि मानिसहरूले या त सहयोग गर्दैनन् वा उत्साह नदेखाऊन्, यो तिनीहरूको अहंकारको कारण हुनुपर्दछ र त्यो समस्या हो किनभने दृष्टिकोण नै सबै थोक हो।” कि त शैक्षिक स्थिति वा तिनीहरूको दृष्टिकोण समाज मा व्यक्ति लाई ह्यान्डल गर्न गाह्रो बनाउन सक्छ। गाउँका नेता र शिक्षित व्यक्ति सामान्यतया जागरूकता सत्रहरूमा भाग लिदैनन् जब सामाजिक परिचालनकर्ता परिपक्व हुँदैन। त्यसोभए, मनोवृत्तिले समुदायमा नकारात्मक भूमिका खेल्न सक्छ समुदायमा कम प्रभाव पार्न।
यस्तो सत्रमा उपस्थित भई मानिसहरू आर्थिक समर्थनबाट फाइदा लिन खोज्छन् केवल उनीहरूसँग मात्र कुरा गर्दैनन्। व्यक्तिहरू प्रायः यस्ता सत्रहरूमा मौद्रिक सहयोगको अपेक्षा गर्छन् र पैसाको रूपमा उनीहरूको समयको महत्त्वको भावनाले यसमा भाग लिन प्रेरित गर्दैनन्। जब हामीले मानिसहरूलाई टमाटर, फूलगोभी, र खोर्सानीको तौल, मेशिन, र बीजहरूका लागि पालीब्याग जस्ता सामग्रीको वितरणको बारेमा सूचित गर्यौं, धेरै मानिसहरूले अन्तिम दिन देखाए।
सारांशमा, निरक्षरता, अहंकार र वित्तको लागि गहन आवश्यकता मुख्य चुनौतिहरूको अंशहरू हुन् समुदायमा हुँदा। यस बाहेक, मलाई लाग्छ कि तिनीहरू सामाजिक परिचालनकर्ताहरूले समुदायमा जागिर पाउनुको कारणको हिस्सा हुन सक्छन्; यदि होईन भने तिनीहरू कम्पनी द्वारा काममा लिइनन्।
